My office is located in beautiful Durham, North Carolina, although I represent clients throughout the State. My law practice is devoted 100% to Social Security disability representation, and I have limited my practice to Social Security only since 2001.
Several years ago, I qualified as a “Legal Specialist” in Social Security disability law by the North Carolina State Bar Association. Legal Specialists (also known as “Board Certified” lawyers) must qualify for this designation by taking a comprehensive exam in their area of specialization and must be favorably reviewed by other lawyers in the community and within their area of specialty.
Here is what the North Carolina bar says about Legal Specialists:
Certification helps consumers to identify lawyers who have experience and skill in a certain area of practice. Certification also helps lawyers by encouraging them to improve their expertise in particular areas of practice and providing them with a legitimate way of informing the public and other lawyers of this expertise.
I mention that I am Board Certified so that you will know that I work hard at my profession and that I take my obligations to my clients very seriously.
More important than Board Certification are the “thank yous” I get from my clients. Since 2000, I have helped over 1,000 honest, hard-working and deserving claimants win Social Security disability benefits.
I know that you have many choices when it comes to selecting a Social Security disability lawyer so it is important that you educate yourself about lawyers out there who want your business, and about the Social Security process in general. I hope that you will use this blog to ask questions, comment on my posts and learn more about Social Security disability. I also encourage you to visit my firm’s disability website where you can find answers to frequently asked questions and more.
Finally, if you ever have any questions about Social Security disability, you are always welcome to pick up a phone and call me – locally in Durham at 919-794-8676 or toll free from anywhere in the State at 877-835-5845. You can also email me if you prefer.
